I went to watch the ballet The Peony Pavilion last Sunday’s evening. Because I think ballet was more or less the same everywhere, I was total unprepared for its unique beauty. I was absorb as soon as the curtain rose up. The performance borrowed a lot from Chinese dance and music, but the Eastern influence on the ballet was clear. The production was filled in colours and romantic symbols, and challenged my sense in new ways. So much did I enjoy that it has changed my opinion about ballet. I can’t wait to going again!

As a shy girl in my school, when my teachers told me to stand in front of my classmates and give a speech, I would very afraid and didn’t dare to face him. Last week, my English teacher give every student a task to make a performance of a short English story. I was in a group with two other classmate. We practiced many times but they always inspired me. At last, I was able to face my classmates and finished a performance. Though the show was not perfectly, I got over my fear, that was an important step for me. I gained with confidence and had the faith to becoming stronger.

One day when I was still a primary school pupil, I get back home after school and found Daddy seat in a chair reading. “Daddy, there is going to have a parents’ meeting this evening and you’re required to attend it,” I said to him by a low voice. Hear this, Daddy started to comb his hair. When anything was almost ready, I begged him to take me with him. So he did. When we got to school gate, Daddy was surprising to find it was strangely quiet in the school. Looking at his puzzled face, I told to him that it was just a small meeting and that we two were the only people invited. Daddy seemed to understand everything and he had to go ahead.
