Last year, I ran for our school's senior three grade president. On the day of the election, I had to give a speech in the front of the entire grade but I talked about why I would make a good president. When it was my turns to speak, I stood on the stage with butterflies in my stomach and my hands got sweat. Nervous although I was, I explained the reasons why I dreamed being grade president. I also talked about the ways I plan to accomplish my goals. Unfortunately, I brought their speech to a nice conclusion. The audience gave me a round of applause and chose me to be grade president. It was one of the most encouraged experiences of my life.

At the beginning of April, a photo show was holding in our school. It was great success! All the photos were taken by us students. There were both black-and-white and color photos, showed our school life, the beauty of nature, festival activities and so on. All the work of art were on show in the reading room on the second floor. Every day, the large number of students went to enjoy them and they were surprised to find that the pictures were extreme wonderful. Those their photos were chosen the best were given unexpected prizes. In short, this photo show really made our life color .

With my May Day Holiday is approaching nearer, I’ll be free for almost a week. I’ve planned to photograph the green mountains and rivers under the help of my father.

In order to reduce our pressure of learning, on March 28, our school organized all the Senior 3 student to go hiking through the mountain outside the city. At 6 am, all of us have set off. At first, we felt very exciting and confident. After several hours, therefore, some of us were tired and discouraged. When deal with this problem, we inspired and supported each other. Final, at 12:30 pm, all the participants arrived at the top of the mountain, that we had lunch and took pictures to mark this activity. At 8:00 pm, we returned school. This activity impressed us a lot. They developed our determination to overcome difficulties, promoted our teamwork and build up our health.

On the afternoon of last Friday, the English speech competition, organized by our English club, was held in our meeting hall. It begun at 3:00 p.m. and Mr. Lee, our leading English teacher, gave an inspired opening speech. Then two students started to host the competition with both English and Chinese. Fifteen students were attended the competition and each gave an excellent English speech. If the competition finished, the competitors were ranked and prizes were presented to the first sixth speakers. The competition has received positively comments from students and teachers. They both believed that it could encourage more students show interest in English learning.
