As one of the most important traditional festival in China, the Mid-Autumn Festival dated back to over 1,000 years ago. General speaking, people regard it a celebration of their hard work and harvest.

On Mid-Autumn Day, all family member spare no effort to go back home to have a dinner together wherever they are. After dinner, they appreciate the beautiful full moon while eat moon cakes, the traditional food for the festival, that is round in shape and means family reunion. Both of the moon, the moon cakes and the relaxed atmosphere combine to create a feeling of happiness in everyone’s heart.

How time flies! I had hardly had time to enjoy the warmth of my home while it’s time go back to school. This winter I spend ten days studying maths, chemistry and physics, none of which was easily for me. And I still had some fun during the Spring Festival. I had attended my uncle’s wedding and my new aunt was very beautiful. To my disappoint, I didn’t get many lucky money as I had expected. I also went to the cinema with several classmates. We played jokes on each other and had a big meal in a restaurant calling “Red Lobster”. The food there was very delicious and we all really enjoyed myself.

Every time when summer come, I am so looking forward to summer vacation, for I can make many plan in the long vacation. Last summer, I spent a month stay with my uncle and his family, who live in the north. When I got to there, I found the weather here was not that hot and I like the coolness. In the daytime, my cousin and I play on the beach. I would paint pictures and wait for the water to wash they away. Sometimes my uncle would take his boat with us. We floated on the sea or appreciated the beautiful nature. This is best summer for me and I will never forget those happily days.
