With the Spring Festival approached, my classmates and I decided to do something special to give our motherland a precious gift. After a heating discussion, we agreed on carrying out a flash mob singing the song “My Motherland and Me” at a local railway station.

On the earlier morning of the day,we set out for the station. After setting up the equipments, I took deep breath and began to sing. Meanwhile, my classmates sing together with me, playing the musical instruments, what got the atmosphere warmed up. Many passers-by also joined in us, waving national flags. The flash mob lit everyone’s love for their country. It was really a meaningful but unforgettable gift.

Living far from a town encourages me to be more creativity. I got a new idea about gift giving after Christmas! I recycled two glass bottles, cleaned them, but then decorated them with colorful stickers, using my mother's nail polish to paint it. And then, I picked some berries in the bush nearby. The better part I enjoyed was to wander through the grass field, breathe fresh air and to pick branches of sweet wild flowers. Lay out fruits and flowers properly in the bottles, I make special Christmas gifts of my own fashion. One for my teacher（her 38h birthday is today!）and other for a classmate which gifted me with a lovely toy last year.

The Spring Festival, also knowing as the Chinese New Year, is a tradition festival in China. The Spring Festival usually falls in late January or early February. People celebrate them in different ways.

I always come back to home to celebrate the festival with my family. On the eve of the Spring Festival, all the family members will get together or have a big dinner. Then, while watching the Spring Festival Gala, we will play games and talk about which has happened recently until midnight.

On first day of the New Year, people usual wear new clothes and visit their relatives. They said “Happy New Year!” to each other, which is a good way to express their best wish for the coming year.
