The teenage year from 13 to 19 were the most difficult time for me. They were also the best and worse years in my life. At the first, I thought I knew everything and could make decisions by yourself. However, my parents didn’t seem to think such. They always tell me what to do and how to do it. At one time, I even felt my parents couldn’t understand me so I hoped I could be freely from them. I showed them I was independent by wear strange clothes. Now I am leaving home to college. At last, I will be on my own, but I still want to have my parents to turn to whenever need help.

Usually, failure is close linked with “losers” so it is often embarrassed to experience it. Yet failure is part of the process of success, what is the key to our growth. Failure has lots of advantages. It provided us with opportunities to see a few strengths and weakness clearly, enabling us to find what is the most suitable. On other hand, failure can tell us where we need improvements. Properly handling, though, it can teach us a lot. Firstly, we should face them bravely. Secondly, we should analyze the reasons timely to avoid make similar mistakes. Finally, we are supposed to make proper changes and devote in more efforts to our task.

As the saying goes, chances preferred the prepared mind. I learned this from one of my experience.

I was not chosen as member of the volleyball team of our school. Because of this, I decided to give up play volleyball. Lucky, my best friend stopped me but pointed out that it was my laziness and poor preparation which led to my failure. After that, I practiced playing the volleyball every day. When another tryout arrived, I was fully prepared and tried my best. As a result, I was selected and became an important player on our school team.

From this, I am firmly convincing that, no matter when chances arrive, we were able to seize them as long as we get well prepared.
