Tate Modern, London, The UK

Together with three other Tate museums, Tate Modern is national museum of international modern art. It is one of the largest museums of modern art in the world. Most of the exhibit areas are open to the public for free, only charging for major temporary exhibitions.

Musee du Louvre, Paris, France

It is the world's largest and most visited art museum. It's a historical land mark of Paris. Housed in the Louvre Palace, the museum has been added to many times since its opening in 1793. Its glass pyramid in the main courtyard was designed by Chinese-American architect leoh Ming Pei, which later became a landmark of Paris.

National Museum of China, Beijing, China

It is near Tiananmen Square in Beijing. It's one of the largest museums and the second-most visited art museum in the world. Covering time span (范围)from the Yuanmou Man of 1.7 million years ago to the Qing Dynasty, the museum houses around 1.05 million items, many of which cannot be found in museums elsewhere.

State Hermitage Museum, St Petersburg, Russia

The State Hermitage Museum is the second-largest art museum in the world. The public can visit five of the main building: the Winter Palace, Small Hermitage, Old Hermitage, New Hermitage and Hermitage Theatre. It often appears as setting for films, TV series, novels and even video games.

In the U.S., hanging out in a cafe with animals is a new concept. People can't get enough of it. But in Japan, cat cafes are just the start. You can hang out in rabbit cafes or have coffee in Tokyo with two goats.【小题1】 You can also spend an hour at a cafe holding a wise owl (猫头鹰). Tokyo's Fukuro no Mise is one of them.

To get a spot, visitors are supposed to line up an hour before Fukuro no Mise opens. But when I showed up an hour early, I was lucky to get the last seat.

Inside, I was given a list of detailed English instructions. 【小题2】 The woman in charge also gave a long talk. Each guest was shown how to hold a bird before they really tried.

The staff will place the owl on your shoulder or head, if you like. They can also help if your owl starts to get upset. Raising your hand in the air usually settles it down. 【小题3】 A worker came and repositioned it. If you've had enough and want to just watch everyone else's owls, they'll come and take it away.

【小题4】This isn't one of them, though no flash is allowed and no video. But posting a shot of yourself on social media holding an owl is clearly a goal for many visitors.

Souvenirs will be distributed as part of the final activity. 【小题5】 If too many people raise hands, winners are chosen by playing rock-paper-scissors, which seems to be the same in Japan as it is in the U.S. Souvenirs usually include a photo book, cell phone charms, chopsticks and a cloth decorated with owls.

What to expect

Our tour begins with a scooter(小型摩托车) tour around the island. In the late afternoon, it’s time to head to the beach for a wonderful snorkeling adventure. Finally, we’ll close out the first day by taking in an Orchid Island sunset over the Qingqing Grassland. The following morning, you’ll witness an unforgettable sunrise at Dongqing Bay. Later, you’ll travel around the island on your scooter and observe traditional Tao fishing boats. You’ll even have the option of rowing out to sea on one of these boats for a small additional expense.

The three-day tour costs an additional $200, but it’s well worth the extra expense. It includes a historical tour of traditional underground houses and a visit to the well-known Lover’s Cave.
