A few weeks ago, a friend and I, both traveling in the south of France, 【小题1】 (decide) to go to the chocolate festival, 【小题2】 (call) “Feria du Chocolat” in French. I had 【小题3】 wonderful time.

At the end, our class stayed in the room and chatted about how much we were enjoying the day and eating lots of chocolate!

Recently, some 10th graders from my school held a series of Harry Potter-themed activities that brought many students’ dreams of magic to life, among 【小题1】 the cosplay show was the most interesting. Han Xinrui, 【小题2】 Harry Potter fan who cosplayed Hermione, said, “The 【小题3】 (prepare) was complicated but interesting. We edited clips of the characters we played from the 【小题4】 (origin) movies and projected them on the background for our performance. After numerous rehearsals, the actors put on their wizard robes and wigs, 【小题5】 (step) onto the stage and waved their hands, acting like 【小题6】 (superstar). Apart from the cosplay shows, the students 【小题7】 (encourage) to write out some famous quotes from the novels in beautiful handwriting. As one quote said, “It does not do well to be obsessed with dreams 【小题8】 forget to live. Working hard is important. But there is something 【小题9】 matters even more: believing 【小题10】 yourself.” These classic lines were inspiring to the students, encouraging them to keep looking ahead.

In today’s world we are constantly surrounded by technology. It’s true to say that technology                 【小题1】(make) our lives easier. However, increasing scientists are saying that we need to give ourselves a break---otherwise we put ourselves at risk of【小题2】(develop) hundreds of health problems. Over the summer the days are longer, sunnier and free from school. With all this free time, why not put it to good use【小题3】do something【小题4】doesn’t involve technology?

To start with, you could learn a new skill. There are hundreds of 【小题5】(possible): crafts, cooking, learning a musical instrument【小题6】a new sport. If you just fancy relaxing, why not head to a beach? Take along your favorite book and relax on 【小题7】sands, or go for a stroll along the coastline. If you don’t live near a beach, you could go to your local park.

【小题8】you choose to do with your summer, try something new! You might surprise yourself and find a 【小题9】(hide) talent within you; you might make new friends along the way. Next time you find yourself 【小题10】(aim) changing channels, have a think about what else you can do to spend your time.
