Homework is a problem for students all over the world. As a student, you have a lot of homework to do every day. It’s a major part of a student’s schooldays. It’s the best way to review what you have learned in class. And it helps you understand important concepts (概念). Luckily, there are several things you can do to make homework less difficult.

Be sure you understand the homework

Write your homework down in your notebook if you need to. Don’t be afraid to ask questions about it. It’s much easier to ask the teacher during or after class than to try to remember later that night!

Use your time at school

Many schools have study halls. It is designed to allow students to study on their own. It’s more interesting to play with your friends. But the more homework you finish at school, the less you’ll have to do that night.

Take a break

It’s difficult to hold your attention for too long. So take some breaks while doing your homework. Sitting for too long without relaxing will make you feel very tired. Taking a 15-minute break every hour is a good idea for most people.

Make a plan

If you don’t finish your homework at school, think about how much you have left, so you can budget your time. Most students have between 1 hour and 3 hours of home-work a night. If it’s a heavy homework day, you’ll need to spend more time on it. It’s a good idea to make a homework timetable, especially when you want to enjoy sports or other activities.

Have you ever wanted to be a college student? If so, then you must know that you have to be a smart student. This means you have to achieve excellent grades in high school. The following tips may be of great help to you.

Stop spending most of your free time watching TV or surfing the Internet. Your spare time can be spent in studying and reviewing the knowledge your teacher has already spread. Record important notes that your teacher explains in class. This will help reduce your preparation time for tests, which means you could start studying early. You should also read through your notes carefully because most of the things on your notes are likely to appear on the test paper.

Ask your teacher for help if you don’t understand some of the knowledge. Don ‘t be afraid of asking questions, or you will not get a better understanding of the knowledge.

Study for your tests as soon as possible. If you finish it fast, you will have more time to relax and do your favourite things. In addition, waiting until late at night will only make things harder because you may feel tired.

Join a tutoring (家教) service near you if you are really serious about your grades. There are many tutoring services and if you can’t find any near you, there are services available to the public on line. Tutoring services can be a great way to get extra help and can be a great way to prepare yourself for the tests.

In the last two school years, I wasn’t really interested in Science Research. I concentrated on my lessons but after class, I forgot everything. I’m surprised that this school year, I’m not like that anymore.

Science Research III is one of the subjects I’m learning while enjoying it. I was scared at first, thinking this would be the hardest subject for me during online class, but it turned out fun and I could study it well. I love the way Madam Ventura uses a whiteboard and I really appreciate her effort in making explanatory videos about our lessons.

I have learned a lot in research about types Ⅰ and Ⅱ mistakes, statistic (统计的) tools like z-test. Most importantly, I’ve learned how to write a research paper in IMRaD format with Patricia and Aindrea. Without the research paper writing, we wouldn’t have known each other. Overall, the lessons are challenging. Sometimes I have to watch the videos several times, but it is all worth it because our teacher told us that “Time spent learning is time well spent.”

There are still a lot to say about my whole experience in Science Research Ⅲ. Because of the research, I made new friends even if we didn’t see each other like in face-to-face classes. I have found discussions in classes really exciting. I admire that our teacher is always willing to go an extra mile to make sure we will learn. She is always considerate and approachable. Gradually, I changed, no longer just memorizing and forgetting. Science Research made me a true learner. I now learn by heart. I never thought I’d want to be a researcher, but now I am looking forward to future Science Research classes. I will never forget that this year is the time I became interested in Science Research.
