As we all know, helping others is a great service, and it's easy to see how to help some people, but what about those people whose needs are not so obvious? This story may have happened a while back—It was a lesson which has____with me and helped me ever since.

It was Thanksgiving and I was volunteering with my parents at a____for the needy. We stood behind the counter____out hot food to whoever came in. Most of our diners looked like they had been having____times: their clothes were old and dirty.____short, they looked needy!

About a week later, the shelter____a large donation from an anonymous(匿名的)person. I can't help but____if it came from that man.

Now, whenever I meet someone I remember my mother's____and try to send kindness and blessings their way, regardless of how they look. Needs aren't always____. But kindness always makes a difference.

Remembering My Father’s Vest(背心)

People get into trouble because they don’t know enough to keep cool. As a child, I had a lot of ______ that had been held back and not released. Worse still, I was not good at ______ .

Once as I was getting ready for school, my mother ______ me my father’s vest instead of mine.
