Would you drive around the world on a motorbike? Would you do it with a dog ________ behind you the whole way? Jess Stone is doing just that with her dog Moxie.

Stone and Moxie are traveling the world together by_________ . Their trip started on March 5 from their home in Guatemala and will ________ them through 90 countries. 

Moxie is a German shepherd who weighs 34 kilograms and is perfectly ______  on the back of a bike. According to Stone, it took the dog just a single weekend to learn how to  ______ . Sitting on the back of the bike in a motorcycle dog carrier, she looks    _____ with hot pink goggles (护目镜) to protect her eyes.

Stone could not  _______ leaving home without her beloved dog, so she decided to travel the world with Moxie. Traveling with a dog, _______ , has its limits, such as being  ______  to dog-friendly accommodations and attractions. 

But according to Stone, it’s totally  _______ it. “I see Moxie in my mirror _______ . Her head is always right up against my side. Sometimes she even _______  her big nose on my shoulder with her chin up there. It makes me feel so ________ that she’s really experiencing everything.”

One thing Stone has noticed so far is that no matter which country or area they have gone through, the reaction to Moxie is  ______ . “She just puts a big smile on everybody’s face,” Stone said. “And that’s the part that really _______ .”

It was a hot day in Bangkok (曼谷). I was walking out of the busy Grand Palace, and some _______ Thai teens started asking me questions. Noticing that I was _______, they were interested and wanted to know more.

“Oh, so lonely!” they said to me when they learned I was, indeed, _______ solo for the long journey. I smiled and shrugged. They didn’t know I’ve _______ been alone.

I’m surprised by how much more outgoing I’ve become. Instead of putting my _______ down and ignoring the person who may be _______ me on the sidewalk, now I smile and say hello.

The only bad thing is the fleeting (短暂的) nature of the relationship one builds on the _______. I’ve felt sad more than a couple of times over parting ways _______ a fellow traveler. But there are always _______ friends and possibilities just the next town over.

Part of the ________ of taking this trip was the knowledge that I’d be doing this alone. At first, I tried to get friends to________ with me for various legs of the journey. I asked close friends, then even not-so-close ________, then slowly realized that I might never travel if I ________ around for a time when a friend of mine would be free to ________ me.

If I was really going to do this, it would have to be alone.

As it turns out, traveling alone is the best ________ I could have made. You always have to make ________ considerations for others when you travel with others. Sometimes, you have to do things you don’t feel like doing.

Solo travel is amazing. And really, ________ I truly want and seek out ________, I am never alone. I always have a group. I never feel ________. Sometimes, being alone forces you to reach out to people you might not otherwise have ever ________.

So don’t fear traveling alone. It’s the best thing there is.

Decades ago, I traveled alone for the first time in my life. The trip to Colorado was not for business or family reasons, but just to travel and ________.

The inspiring stories I discovered were ________ and nothing was like my wonderful and ________ life at home. I got to go rock climbing by myself, go hiking solo, and eat ________. And it was all ________, going smoothly. Actually, I felt surprisingly ________.

It was just me, my SUV and my backpack for a week. ________, it was a breath of fresh air that I didn’t ________ existed. It’s wonderful to be back home and know that possibilities are ________ and there is so much more out there to ________ and discover!
