As a child, reading was one of my favorite 【小题1】 (hobby), and it still is to this day. I've always enjoyed immersing (使沉浸于) myself in the pages of a novel, entirely attracted by fictional characters and 【小题2】 (they) stories. One part of the experience that almost always made me feel【小题3】 (disappoint), however, was when my beloved books became movies. And according   【小题4】 a recent survey, I'm not the only person who is let down by book adaptations.

SuperSummary, an online resource, wanted 【小题5】 (know) the answer to a burning question: Book or movie? The company asked 2,030 people, ages 23 to 62, to answer questions about books【小题6】 had been turned into movies or TV shows.

The results were fairly close. Overall, 34% of people enjoyed the book,   【小题7】(compare) to 27% of people who liked the movie more. Although 82% of people said “screen adaptations help books come to life,” 46% of people argued that movie adaptations “would never be as good 【小题8】 the book.”

Perhaps the slight preference for the book over the movie is related to libraries being a little 【小题9】 (popular) than movie theaters. I 【小题10】 (complete) understand why people might prefer watching a live version of a story on the big screen, but to me, there are few simpler pleasures than getting lost in the pages of a good book.

Do you have a library in your classroom? If you consider a classroom library 【小题1】 a welcoming space where students can read quietly or browse(浏览) through a rich 【小题2】 (collect) of texts, you are only partly correct. It is, in the broadest sense, the backbone of many classroom 【小题3】 (activity).

Generally a classroom library 【小题4】 (equip) with books and other media materials to support students’ daily learning. This provides a place for teachers to teach and students to learn. An effectively 【小题5】 (design) classroom library also helps students locate books 【小题6】 (easy) and gives them room to enjoy themselves.

Further an in-class library offers a setting for students 【小题7】 (read) aloud and have a discussion providing a perfect opportunity for the teacher to give 【小题8】 informal assessment of each student’s reading.

The classroom library is a gathering place 【小题9】 students and teachers can express their lives as readers. Here, reading is 【小题10】 exciting and fascinating that students can’t wait to get to it.

I love reading. At age 6, I could be found reading Harry Potter, a difficult book for a 6-year-old but I 【小题1】(enjoy) it all the same. 【小题2】 soon became obvious that spelling for me was not difficult and I had a wide vocabulary. This is one way I benefited 【小题3】 reading at such a young age.

My advice for you as English learners would be to read the English novels 【小题4】 you have often read in your native language. Reading novels is a great way of 【小题5】(improve) your vocabulary and spelling without realising it as you are absorbed（全神贯注的）in the storyline. You know the sorry well, so its 【小题6】(usual) easy to follow it in English even if you do not understand every word.

This is another essential（基本的）point: it’s not necessary 【小题7】(understand) every word. If you understand the 【小题8】(mean) of the sentence, each word is not necessarily important. Quite often, if a word is used several times in a text, you’ll gradually get an idea of 【小题9】 it means.
