For the sixth year in a row, a building designer in Finland has made a very large work of art on a frozen lake.

On Lake Pitkajarvi, north of Helsinki, Pasi Widgren 【小题1】 (create) a picture of a fox that measures 90 meters from head to tail last week. He said he hoped the artwork would “make people happy” and move them to go for a walk in what he called “【小题2】(beauty) nature”.

On December 4, 2021, he visited Lake Pitkajarvi. As soon as he arrived, he tested the thickness of the ice to make sure 【小题6】 was strong enough to walk and work on. After four hours of work, Widgren was done. He then walked up a hillside about 150 meters above the lake 【小题7】 (get) a good look at his large artwork. He took some pictures to mark the effort.

Several days later the picture was much 【小题8】 (hard) to see because of the snowy weather. But its lack of permanence isn’t a problem 【小题9】 bothers its creator. “It’s also very important to me that making this kind of art doesn’t have any influence 【小题10】 nature,” Widgren said.

The internet raised its collective eyebrows 【小题1】 (recent) after Chinese state media claimed that online shopping, high-speed rail, bike sharing and electronic payment systems are China’s “four new great inventions.”

Last week, government-run Xinhua News Agency said the country deserved credit for the discoveries, 【小题2】 (compare) them to the innovations of ancient China: compass, gunpowder, paper, and printing. Xinhua’s article noted that “Among the four, high-speed rail and online shopping aren’t from China, but we bring the inventions to the world’s top level with our【小题3】 (intelligent) and innovation, and make【小题4】 (they) China’s calling card.”

However, just a little research will show that not one of the【小题5】 (claim) inventions originated from China. Online shopping【小题6】 (invent) and pioneered by Michael Aldrich in【小题7】U.K. in 1979, while the Japanese operated the first modern high-speed rail in 1964. Meanwhile, E-payment systems have been used in the United States since the 1990s, while bike-sharing【小题8】 (service) were already a thing in Europe way back in the 1960s.

The number 9 symbolizes"forever" in Chinese while 19 refers to its capacity of 190 passengers.It has not been 【小题3】(official) in use yet, but the C919 【小题4】(take)its first fly on 5 May 2017 and it was a remarkable success. It is now in the final testing stage and is planned to enter commercial service in 2021 with China Eastern Airlines. Though the C919 has not been put into official operation, there are more than 1000 orders 【小题5】(announce) already,from home and abroad.

The successful trial flight of C919 also shows that the manufacturing industry of China is becoming more and more internationally 【小题6】(compete )! C919 was designed and produced in China, 【小题7】 , however,was made with 【小题8】(resource) from around the world. Undoubtedly,C919 is an 【小题9】 ( achieve) of global cooperation. In the future, COMAC also plans a wide-body plane, the C929, in cooperation with Russia's United Aircraft Corporation. The win-win attitude is just 【小题10】makes China such an attractive and respectable nation.
