Last week, an activity called "Beijing opera entering Campus'' was held in our school.

In the morning, two artists , 【小题1】 acting skills were wonderful, came to our school as planned. When   【小题2】 (reach) the room, they were given a warm welcome. After a casual chat, the artists 【小题3】 (invite) to the hall to give us a detailed introduction to Beijing opera.

With great   【小题4】   (expect), we listened 【小题5】 (attentive) and learned that there are five main roles in Beijing opera, and the facial mask on each of them tells the characteristics of the role. To help us better understand Beijing opera, the artist also showed us several classic【小题6】 (example) of singing and acting.

After the lecture, we couldn't wait to start the following training sessions. One artist showed us how to paint the facial mask on our face, and the other taught us the typical moves step【小题7】step. Under the【小题8】(patience) guidance of the artists, we learned the basic skills and developed a strong interest. After several rehearsals, we were ready to stage a scene from "Journey to the West" On the performing day, with excitement and nervousness, I played Sun Wukong with the lady artist. To our great delight, our performance won the applause of our schoolmates.

Through this activity, I've found Beijing opera appealing【小题9】 learned it must take a long and hard training 【小题10】 (become) a good performer. I am expecting to spread Beijing opera to more audiences.

Adam was a freshman in senior high school and he thought it was 【小题1】(challenge） to get used to high school life. He went to the school counsellor 【小题2】 advice on courses to be selected. He tried extra-curricular activities, such as 【小题3】 (help) in the soup kitchen and doing sports.【小题4】 (obvious), he was a good student.

Social Media Detox (脱瘾)

Today marks the last day of the Social Media Detox, which is 【小题1】 fundraising campaign for new sports equipment. At first, over 100 students 【小题2】 (persuade) to stop 【小题3】 (use) social media, in ANY form, for seven days. Now, with the detox 【小题4】 (finish), they’ve switched on their devices and they are back online. In the campaign, some students, who found the detox was difficult to tolerate threw in the towel halfway, while others managed the whole week. Faced with the challenge, they found new 【小题5】 (way) to communicate with each other. And now they believe even if social media aren’t 【小题6】 (access), they still can enjoy a colourful life.

In my opinion, 【小题7】 has been raised through the detox is not only money, but also the 【小题8】 (aware) of how much we rely 【小题9】 social media. Now it’s time for us 【小题10】 (step) away from it and live a more meaningful life.
