Mark Nieuwenhuijsen, director of the Urban Planning, Environment and Health Initiative at ISGlobal, and his colleagues conducted many 【小题5】(study). During a one-week period, adults spent 20 minutes each day walking on a beach. Then, during a different week, they spent 20 minutes walking along city streets. In 【小题6】 week, they spent 20 minutes just resting indoors. Before, during and after each activity, researchers asked each participant questions 【小题7】(assess) their mood and well-being.
“We saw a 【小题8】(significance) improvement in their well-being and mood immediately after they went for a walk in blue space,” Nieuwenhuijsen said. “It shows that people’s mood and well-being can 【小题9】(improve) by walking in blue space. They should 【小题10】(frequent) walk in blue or green space.”
