Unluckily, Edison’s mother didn’t give up on him, and she teach him herself. Edison didn’t give up on him either. He had such a strong appetite for knowledge which he read a lot. Never he stop searching for better ways to do things. During his life, Edison made over one thousand of inventions, which greatly influenced mankind's life. Of all his inventions, a light bulb is the most famous, open up the possibility of exploring the world.

The person I respect

There are many respectable people around us. As for me, Marie Curie was the person I respect most. It is general acknowledged that Marie Curie is one of the greatest scientist in the world. Her discoveries are crucial to the later scientific research.

Marie Curie was interesting in science when she was young. After she graduated from university, she committed himself to her work with the objective of serve the whole society. Marie and her husband found the element radium, for that they were awarded the Nobel Prize. Not only was Marie the first female professor at the University of Paris, but she was also the first scientist win two Nobel Prizes in the world.

Madam Curie was intelligent, brave, strong-willed but never gave up. To sum up, she is a person I respect her most.

There is two reasons why my classmates don’t think we are ready for cloning. Firstly, we can't predict all the consequence of cloning. What would happen if scientists cloned other Hitler or someone like him? Secondly, we don’t know exact what the meaning of life is. Create life is not our duty. We couldn’t completely understand the relationships among lives that are defined by the nature. As far as I'm concerned, even though cloning may have a lot benefits for humans, we should stop cloning after we can control all of its effects. Maybe in the future we can, and the right time has not yet arrived.
